Scientific Name: Nothofagus Pumilio

Also known as: Lenga, Fireland Cherry, Southern Beech

Lenga is a deciduous hardwood tree native to southern Argentina and Chile. Color ranges from a pinkish-white in the sapwood, to a pinkish-yellow in the heartwood. Its properties allow for easy sawing, gluing, and finishing. Uses range widely from fine furniture manufacturing to interior doors and flooring.
